Many
people today are concerned about their privacy, that is, their right
to remain anonymous. I am one person that shares those concerns, so to
let you know what we do with any information we receive from you, here
are some questions and answers.
Q. What do you do with personal data you collect from us, such as
names and email addresses?
A. We use them only for the purposes that we state in collecting them.
When you place an order, phone numbers and email addresses are there
only if we should have a question regarding your order. We use the
email address to keep you up-to-date on your order, such as when it
will be shipped and when you should expect its arrival. We will also
email you to let you know when we have specials.
Q. Do you store data in a secure manner?
A. Unlike many companies that store their customer information on
their web site's server, we do not. When you place an order the
information is encrypted and sent to a secure server which has our own
security program on it; we are the only ones that have the key that
unlocks the information you send us. When we download the order it is
completely removed from the server to our computer, and it is stored
on our computer fully encrypted. We print out a hard copy to keep on
file. The encryption software that we use is PGP. This is very strong,
military grade encryption.
Q. Do you share information with any third party for marketing
purposes?
A. No, we do not. We treat any information you give us as strictly
confidential.
Q. Do you use Web Bugs?
A. No! We do not. Web Bugs are invisible images that transmit data
about you to a third party. To use Web Bugs is, to us, unethical. If
you would like to know more about Web Bugs go to
http://www.privacyfoundation.org/resources/webbug.asp
Q. What recourse do you
provide if I feel my privacy has been violated?
A. If you feel that your privacy has been violated because of
something we have or haven't done, please get in touch with us
immediately. We will do our best to correct the situation.
