BLACK MESA WEAVERS FOR LIFE AND LAND, A NONPROFIT COOPERATIVE ENTERPRISE of the Dine' (Navajo) of Black Mesa, Arizona, FAIR-TRADING CHURRO & MOHAIR FROM THE SOURCE. Through five hundred years of care and devotion, the Dine' developed the only breed of domesticated sheep indigenous to the Americas. Today, these Navajo-Churro sheep are nationally and internationally recognized as rare and endangered. So too are the lifeways and cultural traditions that these animals sustain. This is the wool and mohair that the Black Mesa Navajo weavers use for their own weavings; it can be spun into superb yarn for weaving, knitting, or crocheting. Freshly shorn from unstressed, free-ranging churro sheep and angora goats are lustrous, long-stapled, and low-grease fleece in natural whites and an amazing range of natural colors from light grey to natural black. From $7 and $10 per pound, plus shipping.

Mothers For Natural Law You are eating genetically engineered food. Is it good for you? Do you have a choice? Genetic engineering is the largest food experiment in the history of the world. We are all the guinea pigs. 60-70% of the foods on your grocery shelves contain genetically engineered (GE) components. The FDA estimates that within the next few years 150 new genetically engineered foods will be approved for sale.
Genetically engineered foods contain substances that have never been a part of the human food supply. They are not subjected to rigorous pre-market safety testing. And THEY ARE NOT LABELED. Is genetic engineering safe for you and your family? Safe for the environment? Safe for the future of mankind. No long-term studies have been done. No one can answer these questions.
Do you want out of the experiment? Join us, sign our petition, e-mail your political representatives. Help us get crops segregated, foods labeled, and legislation to regulate the technology.
