Lynne
writes that she has lived in British Columbia for 23 years and that she was a knitter
before moving there. She took up spinning because she lives 150 miles from the nearest
yarn shop (grocery store, dentist, and doctor). She is self-taught and as she said,
"...had never seen anyone spin when I got my first homemade wheel, knew something I
did with wool made yarn, took awhile to get anything I was going to call yarn (birds loved
the first bits). I now spin about 60 to 75 pounds per year, get most of my raw wool from
friends that have Romney and Lincoln-Romney crosses, do all my main spinning on my Louet
S-70, have two, one is a spare (also have 20 bobbins)."
We hope you enjoy, and find inspiration in, Lynne's beautiful socks
which contain as many as 12 different colors.New pictures from Lynne.
